Candle Care

To get the very best from your Sable & Flame candle, follow these guidelines:

First Burn

Allow the candle to melt fully to the edges of the vessel, a full 4 hours will allow this. This prevents tunnelling and creates the foundation for an even burn.

Wooden Wick Care

Trim your wick to 2–3mm before each burn.
Pinch off the charred tip once the candle is cool.
A well-trimmed wick promotes a steady flame and enhances fragrance throw.

Burn Time

Burn your candle for 2–4 hours at a time.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

General Safety

Place on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
Never leave a lit candle unattended.
Keep away from drafts, curtains, pets, and children.
Stop burning when 1cm of wax remains.

Wax Melt Care

Using Your Melts

Place 1–2 segments in your wax burner.
Use unscented tealights only in tealight burners.
Electric burners may vary. Adjust to your preferred strength.

Melt Safety

Do not add water or other substances.
Never leave a burner unattended.
Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.

Changing the Wax

Allow the wax to cool fully.
Either pop it out, or warm the liner provided slightly for easy removal.
Dispose of used wax responsibly — never pour wax down drains.
